I have loved travel for as long as I can remember, even if that meant (as a kid) visiting our family home in Mangalore during summer or weekend visits to extended families in and around Mumbai.

As a teen the only profession I could think of was to become a flight attendant so I could travel and get paid for it. I love the excitement of it all – discovering new sights, learning about the history and culture, meeting new people and the best part of all is the food – the possibilities are endless.

I was born in Mumbai, a true Mumbaiite in heart and spirit, I moved to Dubai in 1998. I left one home in the “City of Dreams” to set up another in the “City of Opportunities” and this move has been nothing less than life changing.  Dubai opened up doors for me and gave me lots of opportunities which is helping me quench my thirst for traveling. Undoubtedly, expat life can be very exciting. The experiences and challenges of life abroad develops one as a person, teaches new skills and enhances capabilities, creates new meanings in life, and generally translates into valuable memories, which are worth remembering for many years ahead. After living almost for two decades in Dubai, I have a strong attachment to this city.

As for the travel part, I also love the planning, the anticipation, the journey and of course, the actual holiday and finally all the wonderful memories and experiences I bring home that live with me forever. I believe world travel broadens your mind in so many ways. This is one of the reason why I created this blog so that I could have an online scrapbook of all my trips to look back on in the future. 

The world is full of friendly, generous people who love sharing their experiences. Sure, every place has its share of nitwits too, but as a traveler, you seem much less likely to meet them. Maybe because people want to help you or maybe because you just don’t know some people long enough to uncover their schmuck-like tendencies. Since the nature of travel is to keep moving, these folks never become boring… because you simply don’t know them long enough to discover their flaws or get sick of them.

I don’t think my thirst for traveling will come to an end anytime soon as there are so many destinations still out there waiting to be explored. I want to visit so many places to enrich myself more. 

So hopefully, drawing on my personal experiences, my sincere desire is to be able to pass on some useful insights and travel tips to help you get the most out of your holidays.
