About Me “in a nutshell”

Hi, I am Patricia Gaekwad, a new year old blogger on the scene.  Mother of two teenage boys with varied interests that ranges from traveling, fashion, food and my love for organization.

Firstly the idea of starting my blog was quite recent due to a break in my Investment Banking career.  Owing to time constrains while I was working, I was unable to take time out to start a blog since I love documenting my travel experiences.  Joined a new firm end of last year so travelling now restricted to summer and  Christmas/New Year.

Over the course of my life, I’ve embraced a number of different hobbies: jewelry designing, scrapbooking, baking, just to name a few. But none of them have brought me as much satisfaction as blogging. Blogging requires time, devotion, commitment, and discipline. The blogging process has encouraged me to stop and delve deeper into the matters of my life and the worldview that shapes them.

My Personal Social Responsibility (PSR) is to become an individual who creates a positive impact on everything and everyone around me, both locally and globally. Bearing in mind Mahatma Gandhi’s oft repeated quote “Be the Change you wish to see in the world”. From the being, comes the doing and ultimately the having. So we now have the message “Do the change you wish to see in the world”.

For me blogging is a selfless act of giving by investing my time, energy, and worldview into a piece of significant and meaningful writing and then offering it free to anybody who wants to read it.  This is a platform for me to share my experiences and recommendations with this friendly, encouraging, and genuinely cheering community of bloggers. In the process I seem to be experiencing my own personal growth.

Growing up in Mumbai; India, I was never a big traveler. I didn’t take my first trip overseas until I was 25. So you see I am by no means an expert on anything; I fumble my way around the world.  However,  I do feel that innate desire to travel and see more of the world and the people in it.
